Mr. Weir qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom and has been a licensed barrister, solicitor and notary public in Canada since 1978. Mr. Weir established Weir & Associates more than 35 years ago in 1985, with offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with two degrees - Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law. He was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and in Hong Kong in 1992. He was certified as an Investment Advisor – Responsible Officer and deemed a Fit and Proper Person by the Securities of Future Commission Hong Kong in 1989 and 1993. He has lectured in both Canada and Hong Kong at university level. Mr. Weir currently practices in commercial, property and banking law with an emphasis on trusts and pensions.

Mr. Weir is an active member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and The Law Society of Hong Kong. He is also Hong Kong's national president of the World Jurist Association. In addition to acting as a legal advisor for numerous corporations and associations in Hong Kong and abroad, he also sits on the Insurance Law Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong, the IT Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and the IT Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Recently, he served as an appointee of The Law Society of Hong Kong to numerous Provisional Boards. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Weir has served as Director of Listed Public Companies and has taken up advisory and directorship roles for both local and international firms.

Ms. Olivia Dong is a qualified Hong Kong solicitor. She was born and raised in Canada.  She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, followed by her Juris Doctor degree and P.C.LL. from the City University of Hong Kong. Ms. Dong is an active member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.  Ms. Dong currently practices in areas of corporate/commercial, immigration, civil litigation, trust and estate planning. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin and has basic knowledge of French.
