Fernández is a Venezuelan lawyer and member of Ayala Dillon Fernández & Linares Consultores Jurídicos, law firm. He has a range of experience in Constitutional, Administrative and Corporate Law.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Andrés Bello Catholic ́s University and did Postgraduate studies at the University of Pantheon Sorbonne Paris II in Constitutional and Public Law.
He worked as lawyer in the State Attorney General's Office (PGR). Furthermore, he worked as an advisor in the Presidential Commission for the Reform of the State (COPRE).
He was magistrates assistant at the Political Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
Nowadays he is a teacher of Constitutional and Administrative law and Political Institutions in the Central University of Venezuela. Also he performs the role of Head of Public Law Department and Head Professor of Constitutional Law in Monte Ávila and Andrés Bello Catholic University.
Fernández has participed in the drafting of several legislative and regulatory texts at national, state and municipal levels.
Jose is a licensed and practicing attorney in Venezuela, specializing in private and business law. He is graduated with a law degree from the Universidad Católica Andres Bello. He also obtained a Master degree in Business Law and a Master degree in Private Law, both from the Pantheon- Assas University Paris, and a Postgraduate degree in Competition Law from the King’s College University of London in 2002.
He worked as a Foreign Lawyer in Holland & Knight, New York Office, in 2002-2003 and currently as Partner in Consultores Jurídicos Ayala, Dillon, Fernandez, Linares & Chavero.
He is a professor of law at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where he has taught Private Law, since 2005. He was also Assistant Professor of Corporate Law in the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in 1996-1997 in the areas of Business Entities and contracts. He is the Secretary-General of the Venezuelan Section of Association Henry Capitant.
